I know a question that you may be wondering is “What is the JFree Journey?” What does this even mean? Look no further as I go deep into what this means to me and my life, and how it can apply to your life.
When you join the JFree Journey, it means that you are embarking upon a path of enlightenment. Joining the JFree Journey means that you are seeking transformation to new levels. For each person, the goal of that journey may be different. I don’t want to limit the idea of bettering ourselves just to basketball. Anyone can join a journey, but during the JFree Journey, we focus on 3 core principles: Perseverance, Effort, & Courage.
Have perseverance, effort, & courage on the JFree Journey
I’ve discussed in detail these core principles in a previous blog, so I’ll generalize the concept by saying that these ideals are an absolute MUST on the quest to success. There is no room for weakness or impatience on the journey, as I’ve often struggled with these issues in the past, and I’m experienced enough to tell you they greatly impede the process. Look at successful people in today’s world. When I say successful, I speak of people who’ve had to overcome obstacles in order get where they are. Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg are two people that come to mind. Both dropped out of school and probably were laughed at while doing so at the time. Had they displayed fear, negativity, impatience, or anything OPPOSITE of the 3 core principles I follow, I highly doubt they would be in their current positions. Lavar Ball is another guy who displays these characteristics. As much flak as gets for his antics, he actually is extremely confident in his products and his son. I believe his chances of being successful have greatly increased not only off the talent of Alonzo, but also because he perseveres, gives great effort, and is fearless!
So remember guys, joining the journey is serious business. You can’t half step the journey, so there’s no use in engaging in the content on this site if you’re not totally committed to self improvement both ON AND OFF the basketball court! Take yourself seriously, or no one else will! Be blessed everyone!
